Description

This open-source dataset contains long-term in-situ measurements of current velocity, direction, and wave parameters collected from September 2022 to September 2023 in six nearshore locations in Isfjorden, Svalbard. Measurements were conducted in 30-minute bursts every 4 hours at a sampling frequency of 50 Hz, using low-cost Hydromast flow monitoring devices. The campaign includes continuous data coverage through the polar night, supporting research on Arctic coastal dynamics and seasonal variability. The raw data has been processed and uploaded data validated. The Hydromasts used measure current velocity between 0.12 and 1.2 m/s, all velocities outside the measurement range have been removed.
