Data: CFD Comparison of the influence of casting of samples on the fiber orientation distribution

The fiber orientation distributions in short fiber reinforced concrete test specimen according to EN 14651 are simulated by use of Computational Fluid Dynamics and compared for different flowabilities of the concrete mass. To estimate their influence, some possible deviations from the prescribed casting method are simulated. The simulations show that the final fiber orientation distribution may significantly vary.
