Description
This is a dataset of spatially distributed 5G millimetre-wave (mmWave) measurements collected from an operational 5G New Radio (NR) Standalone network deployed on the campus of Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech). The measurements were recorded using a Rohde & Schwarz TSME6 drive and walk test scanner equipped with a TSME30DC ultra-compact downconverter, mounted on a mobile radio scanning platform carried by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), which enabled spatial sampling of the radio environment at different positions and altitudes. The UAV served only as a mobile measurement platform for collecting 5G network measurements. The dataset contains more than 300,000 time-stamped measurement samples including synchronization signal block (SSB) beam measurements, signal strength indicators, signal quality metrics, and geographical coordinates describing the position of the measurement platform during the data collection campaign.
Each record contains physical-layer parameters reported by the 5G network, including signal strength and quality for multiple detected beams and carrier frequencies. Measurements were collected from multiple 5G radio units operating in the n258 mmWave band. The dataset is distributed as comma-separated value (CSV) files organized within a single directory. File names follow a consistent naming convention that reflects the type of measurement campaign:
-
MeasDataXXX.csv – measurements collected using the mobile airborne scanning platform
-
GroundMeasDataXXX.csv – measurements collected during ground-level walk tests
-
RoofMeasDataXXX.csv – measurements collected during walk tests conducted on building rooftops
In each case, XXX represents a three-digit identifier indicating the chronological order of the measurement session. Each row in the dataset corresponds to a single measurement sample and contains:
-
Timestamp (UTC)
-
Latitude
-
Longitude
-
Altitude
-
PCI
-
SSB Index
-
RSSI
-
SSB-RSSI
-

This dataset can support research on mmWave propagation analysis, beam-level signal behavior, radio-environment mapping, and data-driven modeling of wireless communication systems.
